General Event Related Questions

Q: When are future Hay Days?
A: Hay Days is always the first weekend following Labor Day.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Admission is $30 weekend pass, $25 Saturday only, $15 Sunday only. Kids 12 and under free. Active military free on Sunday (present ID).

Q: Where does all the money go?
A: After the bills are paid, any profits go back into improving the land, donating to snowmobile clubs and charity.

Q: What is the history behind Hay Days?

Q: What is there to do at Hay Days?

Q: What about lodging?
A: Lodging info.

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Hay Days goes on, rain or shine. This includes racing.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Pets are prohibited except in the case of service animals.

Q: Can I ride a bike around the grounds?
A: No, bikes are prohibited.

Q: Can I bring my own food and drink as a spectator?
A: No.

Q: What about guns?
A: Guns are prohibited.

Q: What about parking?
A: Parking is always an evolving challenge. Please see the Parking page for updates.

Q: Are there options for handicapped people?
A: Yes. Please see the handicap information page.

Q: Can I leave the grounds and return later?
A: Yes, provided you keep your wristband on. Torn, cut and removed wristbands will not be allowed for re-entry.

Swap Related Questions for Spectators & Buyers

Q: When do the gates open for swap spectators?
A: Same time as rest of Hay Days opens, 7AM.

Q: I bought something big, how do I get it to my vehicle?
A: Look for the Sno-Barons BLIMP in the sky. Check in is under the blimp with the Wild River Snowmobile Club and they will haul it out to one of the three designated drop-off spots free of charge.

Swap Related Questions for Sellers

Q: When do the gates open and close for swap sellers check-in?
A: Gates open Friday morning, 8AM or earlier. Gates close at 11pm.

Q: May I wait on the grounds for the gate to open?
A: No. We no longer have a waiting area. Do not arrive Thursday as the police will turn you away

Q: What is the Swap License?
A: Swap License is what you will receive in the mail that grants you entry to the swap spaces you previously purchased.

Q: When will the Swap Licenses be mailed out?
A: They are usually mailed out starting mid to late August, with furthest zip codes being mailed first.

Q: If I have an RV or a trailer that opens on the right side, am I guaranteed a space in the right side of a row?
A: No. Rows are filled on a first come, first served basis. Right sides of rows always fill up first.

Q: Can I drive a vehicle in to drop some extra items off, then park it outside of the grounds?
A: No, this is not allowed.

Q: I am arriving later than my swap group. Can I still get in?
A: Yes, however one of them will need to meet you at the Swap Gate entrance to vouch for you.

Q: Can I leave a  vehicle outside the grounds?
A: Yes. Parking will be available at the Chicken Coop and Racer's Edge lots.

Q: Showers available?
A: Starting in 2015, Anytime Showers will have a shower trailer available. Cost is $6 per shower, towel included. Open to everyone.

Q: Any RV hookups or pump-out services?
A: None.
